Call of Duty Wiki

В Call of Duty: World at War

Call of Duty и Call of Duty: United OffensiveПравить

    Call of Duty 2Править

Call of Duty: World at WarПравить

Call of Duty: Black Ops IIIПравить

Call of Duty: World at War
Call of Duty, Call of Duty: United Offensive, Call of Duty 2 и Call of Duty: World at War.
    • В Call of Duty: World at War

"You were sent here to work and that's what you'll do!" — Metz responding to Zussman in German

Metz was the main antagonist in Call of Duty: WWII. He was a Stalag labor camp director during World War II and an officer within the Nazi Party. He was an extremely brutal and merciless man, beating and executing his Prisoners for non-compliance, or for simply being Jewish.

      Biography Edit

"I'm looking for workers, separate the Jews" — Metz talking to a Wehrmacht soldier.

He abused American POWs and forced them into hard labor, especially Jewish-Americans. When Robert Zussman is captured in December 1944, he is taken to a German Labor camp, and is interrogated by Metz on which Prisoners are Jewish. When Zussman refuses to comply, he is beaten and put on a train to a Labor camp. On April 4th 1945, after the 1st Infantry Division has been searching for Zussman for Months, they find the camp he is being held at and witness the grusome atrocities that Metz and his men have committed against the Jewish Prisoners.

When Pierson finds a trail leading out of the camp, they realise the Nazis led the prisoners on a death march, leading Daniels and Pierson to head deep into the forest to find Zussman. Metz soon begins executing prisoners, the gunshots alerting Daniels to his position. Daniels finds Metz throwing Zussman to the ground ready to execute him with his Luger, but Daniels shoots and kills him before he can fire his weapon. His body was left behind in the woods.

      • Metz is based on the real life commandant of the Berga forced labor camp, Sergeant Erwin Metz.[1]
      • Metz's awards include: Iron Cross Second Class 1914, Wehrmacht Long Service Award for 4 years, Anschluss Commemorative Medal
      • His Medals indicate that he is a World War I Veteran and the fact that he owns the Anschluss Medal may indicate that he is of Austrian origin.
      • It is unknown what happened to the men under his command, as Metz is the only German seen in the Epilogue.

Luftwaffe | Call of Duty Wiki

      "Team Luftwaffe" — Bundeswehr

The Luftwaffe (directly translated as "Air Weapon" in German) is the aerial warfare branch of the German Military, and appears in Call of Duty, Call of Duty: United Offensive, Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty: Big Red One, Call of Duty 3, Call of Duty: Roads to Victory, Call of Duty: World at War, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and Call of Duty: WWII.

        Call of DutyEdit

In the original Call of Duty, the Luftwaffe makes an appearance in the British campaign level "Airfield Escape" in which the player must mount a Flakvierling 38 and destroy incoming enemy Ju-87 "Stuka" dive-bombers. The aircraft will attack in three waves, each wave dive-bombing the player. After the final wave, a Focke-Wulf 200 "Condor" will arrive. Eventually the player will be driven toward the "Condor" and the level will end. The Luftwaffe's paratroopers (Fallschirmjäger ) are fought frequently in the game, especially, the American campaign. They are distinguishable from regular Wehrmacht or Waffen-SS troops by their rounded helmets which were the standard issued paratroop helmets for the Fallschirmjagers (which look more similar to American M1 "Steel Pot" helmets than the German Stahlhelms) and camouflage outfits.

        Call of Duty: Finest HourEdit

In Call of Duty: Finest Hour, at Stalingrad, Heinkel 111s can be seen in the distance bombing the city but pose no threat to the player as the bombs land in the distance. In the two Operation Little Saturn levels, a Luftwaffe base is attacked by a Russian T-34 tank group led by Nikolai Badanov. There are many Junkers Ju 52s and Ju-87 Stukas on the ground as well as in the air.

The Stukas will strafe the player with cannon fire and bombs, and will quickly destroy the tank if left unattended to with the T-34's machine gun. When the German transports are attempting to leave the airfield at the end of the campaign, if they strike the player's tank they will cause damage. They can be easily destroyed with the T-34's machine gun. The main cannon works as well, but is usually more difficult to aim and fire with.

During the British campaign, Stukas can be seen attacking the player, while escaping on the jeep.

During the American campaign, Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighters can be seen overhead in Remagen. These don't cause harm to the player and are engaged by American P-51 Mustang fighters.

        Call of Duty 2 Edit

A German Ju 87 attacks a British convoy in Call of Duty 2.

In Call of Duty 2, in the British North African levels such as "The End of the Beginning" and "Assault on Matmata", Luftwaffe Ju-87 Stuka dive bombers oftentimes harass British forces with strafing attacks and dive bombing runs. They can also be seen occasionally dogfighting with British Spitfires. At the end of "Assault on Matmata", the player must use a German Flakvierling 38 to destroy waves of attacking Ju-87s .

Call of Duty 2: Big Red OneEdit

The Luftwaffe is first seen in the level "We've Been Through Worse" where Ju-87 Stukas are attempting to destroy the attacking American forces, but mobile American AA emplacements have been set-up to attack German planes.

In the level, "Liberators", the player must man various gun positions aboard a B-24 Liberator and shoot down numerous Luftwaffe aircraft, beginning with a slow-moving squadron of Messerschmitt Bf 323 transport aircraft and with much of the remaining level spent fending off constant attacks by Messerschmitt Me 109 fighters.

In the mission "Piano Lupo," the player is told to enter an M3A1 Half-track and man the M2 Browning Machine Gun and eliminate German planes.

        Call of Duty 3Edit

In Call of Duty 3, Fallschirmjäger are encountered in "The Island" and "The Forest" during the American campaign.

Call of Duty: World at WarEdit

During the Call of Duty: World at War campaign level "Vendetta", Focke-Wulf 200 Condors are seen flying en mass overhead. They are important to gameplay, because Dimitri Petrenko uses the roar of the Condors' engines to hide his sniper shots. The Luftwaffe is not seen for the rest of the campaign. In Multiplayer however, when playing War on "Downfall", one of the objectives is the "Luftwaffe Headquarters".

The subject matter of this article was cut from the final version of a Call of Duty game.

Fallschirmjäger were supposed to appear in Call of Duty: World at War, but were scrapped. Their model files remain in the game's data, including helmets and gear files although no head models are present. A winterized model suggests they would've appeared during sometime during the scrapped Holland campaign.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Edit

The Luftwaffe appear in the mission "Scorched Earth'' as part of the Bundeswehr which holds off the Russian Ground Forces and Ultranationalists through Hamburg and Berlin, and also aid Team Metal in the Second Battle of Berlin in World War III.

        Call of Duty: WWIIEdit

        CampaignEdit

The Luftwaffe appears in the mission "Operation Cobra", "Battle of the Bulge", "Ambush" and "The Rhine", primarily as Junkers Ju 87s dive bombers. In "Battle of the Bulge", the player takes control of Matthew Weber and shoot down Stukas with the P-47 Thunderbolt. In "Operation Cobra" and "The Rhine", the player as Ronald "Red" Daniels is ordered to take out Stukas with Flak 38 AA guns. In "Ambush", the 1st Infantry Division ambushes a Luftwaffe base in the Ardennes. Heinkel He 111s can also be seen during the intro cinematic of the campaign.

        MultiplayerEdit

The Luftwaffe appears in multiplayer as aerial scorestreaks for the Axis Powers and is later added as a playable faction in the War Mode map Operation Intercept with The Resistance map pack, which the Axis team is part of the Fallschirmjäger 3rd Parachute Division.

        Nazi ZombiesEdit

The Luftwaffe appears in the Nazi Zombies map The Darkest Shore as Stuka dive bombers. The players are required to use Flak 30 AA guns to destroy them.

Luger | Call of Duty Wiki

The Luger P-08 is a German semi-automatic pistol featured in Call of Duty, Call of Duty: United Offensive, Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty: World at War (DS), Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered and Call of Duty: WWII.

Call of Duty and United OffensiveEdit

"The Luger pistol carries 9mm ammunition and an 8-shot magazine. It's a high prized trophy for Allied soldiers and can often be found as a sidearm in Russian or American hands." — Call of Duty manual description.

The Luger is the German sidearm of choice in both Call of Duty and United Offensive. There are several ways to obtain it in the campaign. When German enemies run out of ammo for their main weapon, they will pull it out. The player can also shoot their legs to force them into the state now known as Last Stand. Once you finish off the German soldier he will drop the Luger.

          MultiplayerEdit

This handgun is the standard sidearm for the German team, as well as being recycled for use as the Russian team's sidearm in Call of Duty’s multiplayer. In United Offensive's multi-player, the Russians use a TT-33. This is similar to how the British must use the Colt .45 M1911 pistol for their sidearm even though it is the American sidearm of choice, but gain the Webley revolver in United Offensive. The Luger is best used as a last resort weapon when the player is out of ammo, or when trying to get through a tight spot. The Luger is less powerful than the Colt .45, and has a slightly lower rate of fire, but it is more accurate and has a higher magazine capacity.

          Call of Duty 2Edit

          Recoil Low
          Fire Mode Semi-automatic
          Used by German Military
          HUD icon

          CampaignEdit

It is superficially the same as the Luger in Call of Duty and Call of Duty: United Offensive, yet is slightly easier to obtain, due to the fact that enemy soldiers going into last stand tends to be more common in CoD 2 than in the previous versions. It does slightly less damage compared to the older versions as well. The toggle moves in front of the sights when the gun is fired, which can make aiming down the sights somewhat difficult at range. It usually kills in 3-4 shots, and has a quick reload. If used properly, it makes a great sidearm which can be used very effectively.

          MultiplayerEdit

The Luger is again the standard sidearm for the German team in multiplayer. It does the same amount of close-range damage compared to the older versions, but is slightly less powerful at range. It is still a good weapon of last resort, or for trying to get through tight spaces where slower-firing weapons will not suffice. It will not be so successful in other circumstances, however.

Call of Duty World at War (DS)Edit

          Luger
          Damage Medium

          Range (explanation) Medium
          Recoil Low
          Fire Mode Automatic
          Used by German Military

The Luger is only available in multiplayer as the standard German side-arm and is unique in that it doesn't appear in main console versions of World at War. It has an 8 round magazine and medium recoil and power. It has the same HUD icon as the Nambu (the picture on the HUD is a Luger, meaning that the Nambu HUD icon is wrong) and a very similar reload. It is only seen in the level "Promotion" where Cpt. Grigorev shoots a Russian soldier for not following his orders.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare RemasteredEdit

          BR9
          Damage 50-30 (MP)
          Damage Multipliers x1.4 Head
          Weapon Class Handgun
          Magazine Size 8 rounds
          Starting Ammunition 8+16 (MP)
          Maximum Ammunition 8+48 (MP)
Rate of Fire 600 RPM max
          Range (explanation) 350-1100
          Fire Mode Semi-automatic

The Luger returns in Modern Warfare Remastered as the BR9, added in the August 8th, 2017 update. It has the potential for a two hit kill at close range without Stopping Power, outstripping the M9, M1911, and the USP 45 and putting it on par with the Desert Eagle and the .44 Magnum. It benefits over the Desert Eagle and .44 Magnum by having one or two more bullets respectively. However its maximum fire rate of 600 is slightly lower than the standard 625 for most pistols.

The BR9 suffers from extremely high visual recoil that settles slowly. Despite the visual kick, the gun is relatively accurate and actual recoil is low. One unique disadvantage it suffers among pistols is the very slow initial draw time, at 0.83 seconds. This is over three times longer than any other sidearm. It is possible to avoid this problem by drawing it at the beginning of a spawn so that switching to it later in the life skips the animation. The animation always plays when going into Last Stand, even if the weapon had been drawn previously, so the BR9 is a very poor choice to use with the Last Stand perk.

          Call of Duty: WWIIEdit

"Fast firing semi-automatic pistol with low recoil." — Description

The P-08 (referred to as Luger in the Alpha) returns in Call of Duty: WWII.

          CampaignEdit

The P-08 is the sidearm used by the Wehrmacht and can be obtained by putting them in Last Stand. A P-08 with a suppressor attachment is uniquely a starting weapon in the stealth portion of the level "Liberation". It also appears notably in "Hill 493", where it is used by a German tank commander, as well as in the ending cinematic of "Ambush" where Metz uses a P-08 to kill a prisoner of war.

          MultiplayerEdit

Unlocked by default for all players, the P-08 possesses a three hit kill range up close and a five hit kill range from afar. The P-08's long range abilities are hindered, as it has obstructive iron sights, consisting of an extremely small front post framed by large rear sights. Accuracy is further hindered by the pistol's unique toggle-lock action, which obstructs the view as it is fired. This view obstruction is rectified with the Torch and Abwehr variants, as the iron sights are no longer obstructed by the toggle-lock system.

The P-08 carries a small 8 round magazine, which can be remedied by the use of the Extended Mag attachment, boosting the magazine size to twelve bullets. The Steady Aim attachment boosts the P-08's already small hipfire spread to a near negligible visible spread. The Akimbo attachment given by the Duelist basic training allows the use of two P-08s, serving as lethal substituted for close range battles.

In Hardcore modes, the P-08 is a one shot kill to any part of the body at close range, featuring a two shot kill at extreme ranges.

The P-08 is also available in the Infantry Division default class, equipped with the Steady Aim attachment.

          ZombiesEdit

The P-08 appears in Zombies mode, featuring as the default pistol equipped to all classes to be used as the starting weapon. The P-08 can also be obtained from the Mystery Box for 1000 Jolts.

The P-08, being a standard starting weapon, is fairly weak past round eight due to its low damage per shot. However, its extra bullet in the magazine and faster fire rate than the 1911 allows it to be a viable point gathering weapon in early rounds. Ammo capacity is of no concern, as its 112 rounds of extra ammunition is more than enough to suffice even in early Pest rounds.

When upgraded, the P-08 becomes the G.I.'s Souvenir, complete with an increased magazine size to 16 rounds, as well as an increase to 384 rounds in reserve. The upgrade also increases the damage dealt per bullet, as well as converting the P-08 into a four round burst machine pistol. However, The G.I.'s Souvenir is rendered as a weak weapon at roughly round 20. The G.I.'s Souvenir however, can be utilized to serve as a useful personal defense weapon to clear lines of zombies inside choke points,or to severely weaken zombies in higher rounds.

          P-08 vs. G.I.'s SouvenirEdit

          Call of Duty 2Edit

          • The Call of Duty 2 strategy guide states that this pistol is the most accurate when used over distance. It is impossible to tell the difference between the pistols in game, and the toggle-action of the Luger actually obscures the player's aim when aiming down the sights.

Call of Duty: World at War (Nintendo DS)Edit

          • In third person, the Luger appears to be pitch black.

          Call of Duty: WWIIEdit

          • "7306" and "06" can both be seen engraved on the left side of the gun behind the barrel.
          • "P-08" can be seen written above the pistol grip on the left side of the gun.
          • The Mauser manufacturer code "byf" and "06" can be seen written on the toggle-lock slide.
          • The Der Adler and Adlertag variants are modelled after the German Borchardt C-93 pistol.
          • The Torch and Abwehr variants are modelled after the Japanese Nambu pistol.
